Dragon Dictation – Talk about fast!

Dragon Dictation, powered by Nuance’s world-renowned Dragon NaturallySpeaking software, allows you to use your voice to update status on facebook, twitter and any other social networks. It makes it easier to send e-mails and even text your friends.

My review: I like this application. It’s very easy to use and the interface is really simple and practical. This is a useful application for users like myself that have issues sending out e-mails on the go and quick e-mails for client updates.

There are a few things that I was not as pleased with…

First, when recording a message you cannot have any background noise. This application can confuse background noise with your voice, allowing what you say to get lost in translation.

Second, the editing features in Dragon Dictation interface were not easy for me to figure out right away. For example, when I recorded a message and it processed my message into text I was trying to just edit one letter in one word. I am used to apple functionality of tap and drag and I didn’t realize you needed to pull up the keyboard to get that functionality.

Overall, I think this is a must have app for people on the go who need to send out emails, texts, or update their social networks status fast without a lot of editing.
