Mystery Island – Let’s play hide and go seek!

Have you ever had to try and find your keys in a cluttered room?  Well this is a lot like that, only it’s pieces of items and it is someone else’s room!  Sounds like fun right?  Well don’t worry it is!   Alright I guess that about wraps it up for this review.  Thanks for reading.

Wouldn’t that be funny just leave it there?  No, huh?  Alright well let’s talk about this game.  There is a nice intro story when you first load the game that provides you with some background information and a little guidance as to where to start, what to do and how to do it.  I’m sure that some of the readers out there are great at figuring these games out without the need of training wheels, but it’s nice to have.

Main Menu

The main menu presents you with the basic options needed for a game.  You can change your profile name at the top right of the screen and there is help and options available for the choosing.  You can also subscribe to the developers mailing list to be the first to hear about new games, if you wish.  If you click on the treasure chest you can see what awards you have one with the currently selected profile.

Map Screen

There are multiple locations on the island that you’re going to have to visit.  You learn early on in the game that you have to place the items that you find in other locations around the island.  Let’s recap!  You go to different locations around the island.  At each location you’re looking for all the hidden pieces of the items to be found.  You then have to go to other locations around the island to place those found items in other locations.  Did I lose you yet?

Game Play

It may sound complicated but that is probably because I was trying to make it sound that way.  Ha!  It’s really a straight forward game that is a lot of fun to play.  Now I do want you to take notice of the Game Play screen because it’s not easy to locate the pieces of the items.  In fact you can go a little cross-eyed trying to do it.  Fear not though, you can zoom in a little bit to make your life a little easier.  When you think you found something you simply tap the screen in that exact spot and the piece, if it’s there, will be picked up.
