NC/SC Farm – You like real fresh produce?
If you’re anything like my wife and I, then you love fresh produce. Further more, you like knowing where exactly it’s coming from. If this describes you and you live in North or South Carolina, then this app is for you! I know this one is a little limited because it specializes in only two states, but it covers where I am currently. I think it is a great idea and would hope to see more for other areas, if not from this developer than maybe from others in their respective areas!
While the app isn’t flashy, it doesn’t need to be. It’s all about the information that it contains. You have the ability to search for what is around you in a given amount of miles. You can also search by keywords if you like. There is a ‘purchase by’ feature where you can filter the results by a number of categories. All very well thought out. I have used this app to find a new local only farmers’ market right near my house. It has been a nice resource to have when dining out and wanting to know what restaurants by local produce. Really, the uses out weigh the price in my opinion. It may seem a little steep at $2.99, but if you consider the amount of information in it, it all becomes worth it. If you’re in NC or SC and you like fresh produce, you simply need this app!

Thanks for the favorable review; nice to see the word get out.
Just to let you know, $1 of the cost for each app purchases is donated back to the Carolina Farm Stewardship, the group who’s database powers the app. So with 1/3 = CFSA and 1/3 = apple, I’m actually only making $1 per app.

Devin,
That’s great to hear! Not only is it a useful app supporting local produce but the user can have the knowledge that they donated money to a worthy cause!
